Johns Trophy Trial Team To Face Mens SWC Side

In preparation for the 2012 Johns Trophy Championship, Bowls Wiltshire Ladies will be taking on the Mens South Western Counties side at Amesbury B.C on Sunday 13th May. Johns Trophy team manager Rose Adlam will be hoping that the game will give the Ladies team not only a good idea of who will make the final 24, but also good competitive practice for the forthcoming group stage match against Somerset on 2nd June.
Meanwhile the Mens South Western Counties team manager Denis Holborow will be hoping for much the same for his side ahead of their first match against Bowls Dorset on June 3rd.
Wiltshire Youth Gala

This Sunday (18th) there will be a Wiltshire Youth gala day, held at Devizes B.C, starting at 11.00am and finishing at 4.00pm. The event is open to all Wiltshire Youth bowlers and will consist of 4 games, each of 6 ends, so please come along and have some fun.
Each bowler will need to bring 4 bowls and the dress for the day is greys with white or club shirts. Lunch will be provided although each player will need to bring extra money for drinks. The cost to play is £1.00 per player.

Thirty two players from across the County took part in a Charity Gala held at Devizes B.C on Sunday 8th May and raised a fantastic £393.30p for Breast and Prostate Cancer.
Although we had hoped to fill at least one Green, if not two, those that came enjoyed the day. Our youngest player was 10 and our oldest 89 and it was our first Mixed Fun Gala, let's hope it's the first of many.
Congratulations to all that took part during the day, for raising such a substantial amount of money, and especially to Pat Sharp for taking the time to organise and promote the event.
Wiltshire Charity Fun Gala

A charity fun gala event has been organised to take place on Sunday 8th May, at Devizes Bowls Club.
The gala, in aid of Breast and Prostate Cancer, will commence at 10.30am and will include 4 sessions of bowls, a presentation and a raffle to conclude the day. All bowlers are welcome and fancy dress.....
